How will we work together?
While every project is optimized for best results, here’s how it typically works:
Project Kickoff: Once the contract is signed and deposit paid, you’ll receive a Discovery Questionnaire that helps me get to know you and your brand along with your specific goals. For website projects, you’ll also gather site content so we can start organizing.
Strategy + Inspiration: Time for industry research. This key step ensures your deliverables standout from your competition—and I’ll begin to curate your one-of-a-kind vibe via mood board.
Initial Concepts + Rounds of Revision: Now for some fun—visuals are ready for your review! I’ll send designs your way for your review and you’ll share feedback within the limits of our agreement. In the last round, you’ll receive a final proof to ensure sure you LOVE your design.
Note: Your invoice balance is due upon approval of the final proof.Delivery: Party time! You’re ready to launch with an organized folder of final files ready for you to share with the universe. High five!
How do we start?
Love the energy! Please email me to say hi and share a bit about your goals so we can get clear on your project scope. From there, I’ll share service recommendations and options for you to consider. If we’re a good fit (and I hope we are!) we’ll get official with an agreement and deposit to kick off all the fun.
What's included in a round of revisions?
Voice what you think! Each round of revision offers you a chance to share feedback so I’m equipped to refine your design. We’ll determine the number of rounds of revision in your project agreement.
How quickly can you complete my project?
Let’s talk timelines! Branding takes an average of 3–6 weeks to tackle, depending on the unique scope of your project, while Website Design may take up to 10 weeks.
Need it now? I understand deadlines can be demanding and offer urgent turnaround (typically at least 1 week) for an added investment determined upon timeline needs.
Do you work with clients outside California?
Sure do! Happy to serve clients across the United States. Happen to be international? I got you too.
What's the difference between a logo and a cohesive visual identity?
A logo is a mark that identifies the brand. This can be an illustrated icon, a well-formatted wordmark, or a combination of both.
A visual identity, on the other hand, is the overarching system that encompasses all of the visual elements that make up the look and feel of the brand. It includes a cohesive vision from logo designs, color palette, and fonts to image style and layout recommendations—along with any other graphic elements that support the brand (think business cards, packaging, and more). All of these elements and their intended uses are outlined in a beautifully organized Brand Style Guide.
Lettering vs Calligraphy vs Typography: What's what?
Lettering is the art of illustrating letters. Lettering can be any style and achieved with tools from pens and brushes to digital lettering on the iPad.
Calligraphy is a specific kind of lettering with traditional and formal connotations—think a beautifully scripted wedding invitation. This specific type of lettering is not what I specialize in.
Typography typically refers to fonts or overall text layout.
Is upfront payment required?
Secure your project on my calendar with a non-refundable deposit of 50%.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! All projects will be split into two payments—50% deposit due up front, and 50% due before final file delivery. However, if smaller bites (more payments) work best for you, I’m happy to accommodate you. Send over an email and we’ll make it happen!
